Philosophy
Fuhsing middle school was founded in 1968 and high school was founded in 2006. We provide a rigorous curriculum designed to prepare students for a successful university experience. We inspire and challenge students to actively engage in their own learning in developing their abilities and pursuing their passions.
The development of sound character and personal integrity is the central part of our educational philosophy. We not only build a sound knowledge base for our students but also are committed to nurturing the students who are thoughtful, compassionate and responsible citizens.
Leadership program is the integral part of our school curriculum. Through student government, outdoor education program, or service oriented activities, students become more confident, mature and self-reliant persons prepared for their university experience and the world that awaits them.
Exceptional Achievements
University Acceptances
We have excellent results in university entrances. Each year, the median score of our students’ exam scores in every subject is always higher than 88% of all test takers. Nearly 30% of our graduates each year are accepted by National Taiwan University, including Department of Medicine. 8% of our students receive full scores. 10% of class of our graduates are accepted into Department of Medicine. 50% of our graduates are eligible for accepting into National Taiwan University.
We have been awarded seven times during the last ten years as the champion of Taipei City Elementary School Group Award at science fair, boasting not only as a regular award recipient, but also the representative school in Taipei City to compete in the national science fair.
Awards
Our students have been awarded first place in Taipei City Youth Literature Award (poetry category), outstanding performances in oration, writing, essay, reading, and phonetic categories in the national and Taipei Chinese Language Competitions, and multiple top-three places in the nationwide Teen Diplomatic Envoy Competition. Our students also have had the honor of representing Taiwan during foreign visits.
Our students are regular winners at Taipei City's science fair and we are a representative school of Taipei City in national science fair. We have received the platinum award in the international school internet expo several times, and have had outstanding performances, including gold medals, at international invention fairs (that took place in Hong Kong, Japan, Ukraine, and Russia).
Our students are also talented in arts and sports; they have received outstanding awards various times at national/Taipei City dance competitions (group category), Zhongzheng Martial League Games, and national/Taipei City musical competitions (trombone solo, clarinet solo, group female choir, group string orchestra, string quartet). Our choir received many gold medals in international competitions that took place in Germany, Vienna, Spain, and Shanghai. Lastly our string orchestra has had the honor of being invited to perform in Disneyland.
